The Challenge

As with many modern buildings, with sustainability-led design in construction (including Low-E glass), many of Centrica’s offices suffered from poor cellular signal.

This often leads to a number of operational challenges, including communication with other offices, suppliers, and customers. With little to no mobile coverage, health and safety is also a concern.

Centrica, therefore, required a solution to be designed and installed in six locations across the UK, including its flagship headquarters located in Mayfair, London.

The Solution

Following detailed surveys and testing periods across the six locations, our engineers designed and deployed a combination of passive and hybrid distributed antenna systems to improve all four networks (O2, EE, Vodafone, and Three).

High-gain directional antennas were installed where appropriate, in order to maximise the donor signal and ensure optimal performance of the system.

Our DAS solution provides uniform, high-quality cellular signal throughout the buildings, and is scalable to the size needed. This delivers a mobile signal that is up to 1000x stronger, utilizing CAT 5e/6 cabling for RF and Power over Ethernet, with no signal attenuation, right to the perimeter of the building.

With no operator licence required, installation was completed in just a matter of days on each site – this smart cellular solution delivers the industry’s highest gain, at the lowest cost per square metre.

Our solution benefits from:

✓ All networks improved
✓ Multi Network 3G 4G 5G Voice and Data
✓ Up to 1000x stronger signal
✓ Network Safe and Network operator approved
✓ Indoor / Outdoor NEMA 4 Rated
✓ Scalable, all-digital PoE Solution
✓ Setup, Maintenance, and Remote Management
